The New Contemporary: Art Institute Exhibit

The New Contemporary: Andy Warhol

As usual, I am the last to see the cool things Chicago has to offer. Back in the December, The Art Institute of Chicago reopened their gallery of contemporary work. They unveiled 44 works of art by iconic artists such as Katharina Fritsch, Jeff Koons, and Takashi Murakami. I finally went to see the new additions and I was amazed. It was almost overwhelming; the Art Institute carries such a vast collection of work and I wanted to see EVERY SINGLE THING. I just love the art institute so much and even though I've seen some of the work many times; it feel fresh when I revisit. I still get excited every time I'm there. It's crazy to think about the history of behind the art, and the fact that I'm merely two feet away from it. Naturally, I was inspired and took a some photos which can be seen below. Hope you enjoy!
