Heaven in Chicago: The Garfield Park Conservatory
As embarrassed as I am to say this, I must admit that I went to the Garfield Park Conservatory for the first time a couple weeks ago. I know it makes no sense for a plant lover like myself to miss out on this paradise. However, it simply never happened and now that I have seen it, I feel the need to visit weekly.
The conservatory is one of the largest and most spectacular in the nation. Located in the west side of Chicago, this conservatory is truly a lush utopia in the city. The variety of greenery is endless and it only gets better in every room. Naturally, my favorite room was the dessert room (It definitely felt like I was in the dessert). For any one looking for a stress free activity, I highly suggest visiting the conservatory. A visit to the conservatory is free but there is a suggested donation (I suggest donating because any amount could help make a difference in keeping this wonderful place running).
While I was there, I obviously took a thousand photos so it was quite difficult to narrow it down and the photos do no justice at showing the beauty of the conservatory. For more information, please visit this link. Hope you enjoy the images!
