DIY Coconut Vanilla Body Scrub
Like many others, during the cold season, my skin suffers a bit. Specifically, my feet and hands become very dry and rough. It's uncomfortable and if we're being honest here it's not very attractive. I knew I had to put a stop to this and I also knew a scrub would be perfect to help with this issue. I know there are many over the counter products that can get help get rid of dry skin but making a scrub is way more fun and there are no mystery ingredients. After many trials and errors, I think I have finally created the perfect blend for my scrub. It is easy, natural and most importantly it works! Apart from its effectiveness, I love how yummy this scrub smells. It's almost good enough to eat, although I wouldn't suggest this unless you have a very sugartastic diet. The scrub can be used on most parts of the body but I mainly use it for my feet, hands and lips. Lastly, before I move on to the recipe I have to say that this scrub is great for gifting. It can be part of a larger gift, a stocking stuffer or simply a way to subtly tell a friend they have dry skin.
- 1 tbs Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tbs Raw Sugar
- 1/2 tbs Honey
- 1/2 tbs Coconut Oil
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1. You simply mix everything together in a bowl. I've found that the order in which the ingredients go doesn't matter much. If you feel like it might be too dry, add a bit more honey and coconut oil.
2. Rub the scrub on chosen body part. It might feel a little rough but this is good, it's getting rid of all that dry skin.
3. Wash the scrub off with light soap and moisturize with coconut oil. Your skin will feel amazing!
Hope you enjoy!
