This recipe is specifically for the cold brew concentrate, what you add is up to you!

What you will need:

  • 1 Large Glass Jug or Mason Jar with a cover
  • 1 Wooden spoon, or stick - sometimes the spout is too small for the spoon side
  • Cheesecloth to strain coffee grounds
  • 1 Pitcher

  • 2 cups of coffee grounds (original or flavored)
  • 6 cups of water
  • *Always use a 3:1 ratio of water to coffee grounds

  1. Grind coffee grounds and place desired amount in large glass jug (we used 2 cups of coffee grounds)
  2. Place desired amount of water into the large glass jug making sure to cover all of the coffee grounds, stirring gently and effectively (we used 6 cups of water) - this is essential to making cold brew concentrate

3. Cover the large glass jug and set aside for 24 - 48 hours, room temperature is ideal for this step

4. Use a new pitcher or container for finished product and place a layer or several layers of cheesecloth atop to prepare for straining.

5. Carefully pour the contents atop the cheesecloth slowly and surely straining the liquid into the new container

6. Refrigerate the strained concentrate and discard coffee grounds into the compost, preferably, or discard if need. 

*Tip* for a cleaner brew, strain liquids for a second time

Yummy Recommendations

The Classic:

  • ½ cup of cold brew concentrate
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • 1 dash of half and half
  • *Top off with whip cream for a sweet finish

The Sweet One:

  • ½ cup of cold brew concentrate
  • 3 tablespoons of half and half
  • 3 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1 dash of sugar and or stevia

The Islander:

  • ½ cup of cold brew concentrate
  • ½ cup of coconut milk
  • *top with coconut shavings

Sugar Baby:

  • 1-2 scoops of ice cream (chocolate or vanilla)
  • Then pour cold brew over, amount to your liking
  • *delicious with either sprinkles, chocolate toppings, or coconut flakes
