Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast
I think I come up with my best ideas at the grocery store. I was in my favorite aisle, the cereal aisle, and it hit me...why not combine Cinnamon Toast Crunch and French Toast? They’re both toasted, they both have cinnamon, you put milk in both, and they’re both considered breakfast foods. Considering the fact I’d been scraping by with oatmeal the past few days I was ready to experiment in the kitchen again. Below is the recipe I created to make Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast, now try saying that 10 times fast.
Ingredients: (single serving)
- Three slices of any bread of your choice, I used a French Loaf
- 1 ½ cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch crushed
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 Cup Milk
- Ground Nutmeg
Slice the bread from the loaf, approximately 2 cm thick.
To make an egg wash stir the eggs and milk together with a fork, then add a sprinkle of ground nutmeg.
Dip the slice into the egg wash then completely cover the top and bottom with crushed Cinnamon toast Crunch.
Cook on a greased griddle at 350º for 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Plate the french toast and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Enjoy, and never eat bland oatmeal for breakfast again!
